Architecture Licensure by RECIPROCITY
All comity/reciprocity applications must be complete in the Board office no later than 30 days prior to the next scheduled meeting of the Board. Tentative Board meeting dates are available on this web site under "About Us". The fee for the Architect by Reciprocity application is $250.
Architect Licensure by EXAMINATION
Architect Registration Examination (ARE®) - The Board has no deadlines for taking the ARE® examination other than those established by NCARB. An 'eligible' (state Board approved) candidate may schedule to take a division of the exam by going online to www.prometric.com/NCARB, or calling Prometric at 800-479-6215. Additional information regarding the computerized architect exam may be found at www.ncarb.org. Architect Exam fees are paid directly to Prometric.
Reinstatement Application
If your Kansas Architect license has lapsed or been cancelled, you must complete the Reinstatement Application. The fee is $100.
Return to Practice Application
If your Architect license has been on Retired status, you must complete the Return to Practice Application to change your license to Active status. Continuing education is required for Active status.

The next renewal window for Architects is from May 1, 2013 to June 30, 2013 for Architects whose last name begins with M-Z. Continuing Education of 30 PDHs is required at renewal.
